Butterfly Belly 2002

Whether it's the choice of floating weightless in nothingness, being dogs or freedom for one night, the reason is always the same; the search for ultimate happiness. Butterfly belly traces the search for happiness in a quirky and humorous performance combining oriental sound with rigorous physicality and colourful design.

Butterfly belly was created during h2dance’s associate artist residency at the Place 2001/2002. The work premiered in May 2002 at the Place Theatre.
